A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

"You didn't notice when she left. You won't notice when you leave yourself."

Faint is a short game about habits that remain even when there's no one to share them with.

You live in an empty apartment. Every day you do the same things: pour coffee, pet the cat, stare at an old photograph. Sometimes you go to work. Sometimes you don't leave home at all.

Time feels frozen. But it's moving. And slowly, the colors around you begin to fade.

Something has changed. Or maybe you're just starting to notice.

  • Short playtime (5-10 minutes)
  • Slow, heavy atmosphere
  • Two endings
  • No jump scares — just silence and thoughts

⚠️ Content Warning ⚠️

This game touches on themes of depression, loneliness, loss, and contains scenes of violence. If you are currently struggling — take your time. Your well‑being comes first.

"Sometimes the only one left with you is the voice in your head. And it's not yours."

P.S. This is the first game I've ever finished. It's not perfect, but it's mine. It's simple, a bit rough around the edges, but it has a piece of me in it. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you won't regret it.

😍❤️

I recorded your game for my YouTube channel! ;) I got the 'bad ending' first and then tried for the other one. If you play in a pitch-black room, you can just barely make everything out... BUT... I also really love the Deftones. Unfortunately, the music was a nightmare for the recording because of copyright issues. I’ll have to edit the video soon and just stick to the one ending. Other than that, I really enjoyed your game!

I can't get to, what I believe to be, the end of the game, when the dude is looking for a knife to finish the job. The scene is so incredible dark, with environmental reflections on the screen, that I get stuck there like a headless chicken.

Why is that scene so dark? Why is there not a flashlight or a candle so the player can see what s/he does?

Hope this feedback helps :o]

Sorry about that, dude. My fault. You need to go to the kitchen - there's a knife on the table in the center. The problem is, the shader that creates the 'pills effect' makes the center of the screen really dark for some reason. I tried to fix it, but couldn't. )))

@ SLES4R,

OK. First of all, thanks for your swift reply. Appreciated. I played the game during the daytime, because I live in a house with paper walls, so when I record at night I cannot comment on the game I'm recording, but I will and try again tomorrow [during the night] and see if it works.

Thanks for making this game. That too is truly appreciated :o]

Thank you so much for playing my game. It truly means a lot. And thank you for supporting creators like me on your YouTube. <3
